Mortuary assistant William Hand arose as the first of the Black Lanterns (Black Hand), designated by the former Guardian Scar as the herald of the Blackest Night.

It will take all the will in the collective Green Lantern Corps to fight through the Blackest Night, and they’ll need the help of the entire emotional spectrum!
