House Baratheon Motto: Ours is the Fury
House Baratheon became a royal House of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros when Robert led a rebellion against the Targaryen dynasty. His great friend, Ned Stark, became his Hand, or his first officer. Robert Baratheon’s rule was untimely ended when he was killed during a boar hunt.
House Baratheon would have floundered, but shortly, his “son,” Joffrey, succeeded him upon his death. Joffrey, however, turned out to be no son of House Baratheon at all, but a bastard born of Robert’s wife, Cersei Lannister, and her twin brother, Jaime. With the death of Stannis, brother of Robert, House Baratheon has become a legally extinct House in Westeros.
