The Dalek is a fearsome foe to the Doctor, no matter in which incarnation. The Daleks were engineered by the scientist Davros during the final years of a thousand-year war between his people, the Kaleds, and their enemies the Thals. With some Kaleds already badly mutated and damaged by nuclear war, Davros genetically modified the Kaleds and integrated them with a tank-like, robotic shell, removing their every emotion apart from hate.Eventually, the Daleks began to see themselves as the superior race in the galaxy, and thus began to try and Exterminate every other being. The cast of Doctor Who is a “who’s who” of great British talent, including Christopher Eccleston (the 9th Doctor), David Tennant (the 10th Doctor), Matt Smith (the 11th Doctor), Peter Capaldi (the 12th Doctor) and Jodie Whittaker (the 13th Doctor).
